Excluding technical cookies, the general rule for “The storage of information in the terminal equipment of a contractor or a user or access to information already stored” remains that of the prior informed consent of the User (opt-in).

This means that all cookies that are not classified as “technical”, which are also the most critical from the point of view of protecting the privacy of users, as for example those used for profiling and marketing, can not be installed on the terminals of Users themselves if these have not been adequately informed before and did not provide valid consent.
